Yet another request by former Donald Trump White House trade adviser Peter Navarro to be released from prison was rejected, this time by the full federal Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia.
The one-page ruling denied Navarros request for a full rehearing, with the decision noting that there was an absence of a request by any member of the court to consider Navarros appeal.
As Law&Crime previously reported, a judge earlier this month tossed Navarros bid to get out of prison early by requesting to add 30 days of supervised release to his original four-month sentence.
Navarro was convicted on two counts of contempt of Congress for refusing to comply with a subpoena from the now-defunct House Select Committee to Investigate the Jan. 6 Attack on the U.S. Capitol. He was sentenced this January and fined $9,500. He appealed in February and then in March, the appeals court flatly rejected his attempts to stay out of detention on appeal, telling him to go straight to prison instead.
