and into early this afternoon across PA and down into MD (there was a SQW briefly issued over the Hagerstown area sometime between 10 - 10:30 am this morning) and I just saw this -

Here is a snapshot of the current WWA map, with Snow Squall warnings encompassing a large area of Pennsylvania. Heavy snow and strong winds leading to whiteout conditions are possible underneath these squalls, so please be cautious if travel is necessary.

intersecting a line extending from Bloserville to Rockville to
Lickdale to Fredericksburg, moving east southeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Extremely poor visibility in snow and blowing snow. Wind
gusts greater than 30 mph.

Lancaster, Harrisburg, York, Lebanon, Carlisle, Hershey, Ephrata,

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

There is no safe place on a highway when a snow squall hits.
Visibility and traction are immediately lost in whiteout conditions,
making it difficult or impossible to slow down and avoid stopped
vehicles. Delay travel or safely exit the highway before the snow
squall arrives.

Wet roadways will quickly freeze. Black ice will cause roads, bridges
and overpasses to become slick and dangerous. Slow down and be
prepared for sudden loss of traction.

When you have trucks driving on the highways when those squalls come through, it can go from clear to complete whiteout and huge pileup, quick, fast, and in a hurry!
