A Queens school for children with disabilities is the first city public school to close for two weeks because of the coronavirus after officials found at least two cases in the school without a clear link.

The John F. Kennedy, Jr. school in Elmhurst, which opened last Monday for high school students with complex disabilities, will remain closed until Oct. 13, according to a letter from the school principal.

Mayor de Blasio announced the closure Thursday at a press conference. City officials have reported 133 confirmed cases of the virus among city staff and students since teachers reported back to buildings Sept. 8.
