4. Everything on a cruise ship involves crowds, lines and group events

I guess they could limit the number of passengers or something, but I don't see how a cruise ship can ever be considered safe from the risk that Covid brings.

Outbreaks of norovirus happen ever so often, and it's spread through droplets and touching infected surfaces. That's similar to how Covid is spread.

Finally, on cruises I have been on, most of the passengers are on the older side, and their age makes them more susceptible to fatal complications from Covid.

They could presumably test passengers instantly before boarding. They would need to do this with the crew, too. And then at the ports of call, cruisers could spread or catch Covid.

I like going on cruises, but I will not be stepping on a ship anytime soon. I'm thinking it's going to take years to get people to feel a sense of safety.
