(9,981 posts)17. I'm sorry to hear this result, but UK voters now own whatever happens.
I hope for the best but fear that their troubles are just beginning. We should learn a lesson from this vote. Hatred of immigrants and rosy promises of the return of the great British Empire with no interference from the EU (like Trumps America First) are strong motivators. Lies speak much louder than truth these days, and we have expert liars in the White House and Congress who will make our 2020 election one of total lies and character assassination. Many voters will buy the lies.

Well, the Tories got 43% of the vote. Labor and LibDems together got 44% (plus 4% for SNP)
