do anything to move the case forward back then, perhaps because of a school as well as his possible Sandusky connection--i.e., that in effect, he was a piece of the conspiracy puzzle to sweep this under the rug.

Well, that sounds entirely feasible to me...! It seems like this case is rife with deliberate mishandling--and it seems like Sandusky and his late boss the coach, to say nothing of the school bigwigs, knew pretty much everyone in the state.

I'm not from PA, so I'm a bit slow on the uptake with the "inside" politics angle...!
