Technically, the money goes to his campaign efforts, not to him. So he actually doesn't get any wealthier regardless of how much money his campaign manages to bring in. Just to clarify for you. And to be honest, it isn't like the Obamas are hurting financially either, so it's not just Republicans, but Democrats as well.
