In reply to the discussion: George Zimmerman released from Fla. jail [View all]magical thyme
(14,881 posts)69. if SYG is legal for Zimmerman, then it certainly was legal for Trayvon
From somebody who *has* been followed and stalked, and knows what it is to fear for your life.
Trayvon may well have been in fear for his life and defending himself. In all likelihood he was. George's stories of the events in question seem to change with every telling. His description under oath at his bond hearing contradicts his statement to the police. It also doesn't square with what the various eye witnesses saw.
That's what happens when you lie. His initial claims didn't square with evidence. As he modifies his story to try to keep it in line with emerging evidence, it doesn't fit previous iterations. When he took the stand at his bond hearing, he poked big holes...in his defense!
Oh what a tangled web we weave...

Apparently, Trayvon Martin's body was found pretty far from Zimmerman's truck on a pathway

How could the liberal media hide anything when the much larger conservative media would reveal it?

The 'evidence' of GZ leaving the state came from a direct quote from his former lawyer.

Not to mention - I do not want him in my back yard. They need to keep their bail people in their own

So you figure you can legally stalk someone, and if they confront you then you can shoot them?

Are you suggesting that Zimmerman shot Trayvon for hand gesticulations?

So it will come out in trial that Trayvon was shot while he was walking?

Indeed it does. But I have yet to see evidence that Zimmerman just up and plugged him
