Reiterate her wishes every time the talk turns to politics. Be forceful about it and don't take any bait to get drawn into a political conversation.

Sound like a broken record if you have to. Tell them they are showing great disrespect for your mother.

If this gathering is in her home or yours, you stand on very firm ground.
