(11,971 posts)Have voted for the orange turd (or any of the other R candidates), but DU does feel like a hostile environment at times, even almost a year after the election. I've been a member since just after the 2004 election, so I've seen lots of crap thrown around. Sometimes you have to ignore it and wade through all the attempts at "stirring" that still go on. Maybe some of the stirrers who were banished have rejoined under new aliases.
As for the election, yup, I believe it was a planned coup, long in the works, and the Rs (Repubs, Rich 1%, and Russians) all found their Manchurian candidates. I DO think that he is not as controllable as they thought he would be, and the Repubs may not have been aware of the extent of Trump & Cos Russian ties at the very beginning. Yup, I believe either Bernie, Hillary, or Biden would have been 1000% better for America and the whole world. I felt of the 3 that Bernie would have had more cross-over appeal. I have seen extreme hatred and vehemence exclaimed over the Clinton name and Biden over the years. It's surprising, a shame, and boggles minds that people can't seem to vote for their best interest simply due to spite and an unhinged hatred.
