No investments to stock trade a bit? Do you know anything about that? Can't make much and be very sure of not losing money, but can make a few bucks a day safely. I did that last year. Yes, I lost a bit of $$ on this day or that, but most often I regularly logged in $30, $50. It adds up. (I got better at it, and started logging more than that...and also losing more than that....but I usually logged a profit when I did something SAFE.)
Not old enough for Social Security?
Are you physically fit? If so:
....Retail. Stand on feet a long time, low pay. But it's something. Stores will hire older people.
....Retail during holidays for extra help.
....Temp work of any kind? Office worker, records clerk, mail room helper, retail.
....Fast food worker. At least it's something.
....Waiter in a bar? Or do they only want women? They get tips.
....Waiter in a restaurant or diner? They get tips.
....Sell your furniture or other belongings thru Craigslist?
If you're not 60 yet, YOU ARE NOT OLD! I got hired on somewhere @ 58.
PHONE: Tracfone costs $100 for the year for 400 minutes. If you get a "triple minutes" phone, when you buy airtime for one year for $100, you get 1200 (triple minutes). I have an LG360G. Cheap phone. Works fine. Cost: $100/yr. (You can buy additional airtime, if you need it, for pretty cheap. You can buy airtime from online at tracfone website, or a card at WalMart.)
Tracfone does allow unlocked other phones. You can check whether your phone would work on their system, online. www.tracfone.com
McDonald's also has free wifi. Plus the library.
