21. At this point in time, our rescue is self-funded. We are lucky and we know it.

I know that many businesses do give damaged bags for rescue groups, and we count ourselves as lucky at this moment in time that we have been able to pay our own expenses. That may change soon as I will be losing a good job at the end of this year.

We've always tried not to take anything offered that might benefit a more needy group, but our group may be the needy one soon, and it is good to know that some businesses do try to give back a little. Tell your niece I send my thanks to ANYONE who is helping homeless dogs and cats!
