In reply to the discussion: Walmart steaks? [View all]MineralMan
(146,308 posts)24. OK. I haven't ordered a steak in a restaurant for years.
If I want a steak, I select one myself and cook it myself.
If someone else, however, wants to buy me a steak in a "fine dining" restaurant, I'm not inquiring about its origins. I hate the term "fine dining" when applied to restaurants, though. It's almost always misused. Fine dining, for me, occurs when everything comes together and I have an excellent meal somewhere, either in my own home or elsewhere. The name of the restaurant is irrelevant.
You can choose any restaurants you wish. Budgetary restrictions limit my choices, so I cook at home most of the time. From time to time, that results in fine dining. Usually, it's just good home-cooking.

If you were part of a promotion like this, you'd get the bill comped as part of the release.

They couldn't pay me enough to bust a union shop. That's what Wal*Mart is doing to the groceries.

That's certainly true about peoples' perception, but in fact Wal-Mart does sell some good products

WalMart doesn't deliver but Sam's Club might. A lot of local restaurants here source from Sam's.
