notice, though, that the little girl's letter to and response from the supermarket happened in England - where civility hasn't entirely gone out the window. That letter, if sent to the local markets here in California would, no doubt, end up in the circular file. Nevertheless, it is encouraging to see that the golden rule is still operational worldwide.
