55. My memories...

go back to the early '50's when the parties actually respected one another more and there was not a need to constantly campaign (which brings out the beast in nearly all politicians). There was a time when the health of the country was more important than ideology. It was not a perfect time and too many were disenfranchised but this was one of the good things we have lost.
