(10,649 posts)30. I'm glad things worked out as well as they did;
and you deserve some credit for that. It must have taken tremendous courage to stand up to him in the ways you did, for starters, and a lot of good will to give him the chances you gave him to make it right to the extent he did, which of course couldn't really make up for what he put you through; but I hope you both felt better about yourselves and your relationship because of your efforts.
