Please stop talking about the 49 people killed in Orlando. [View all]

There were 103 people SHOT in that mass shooting. One hundred and three SHOT.

Those extra 53 people will live the rest of their lives with the scaring, both visible and invisible, for rest of their lives. Many will require a lifetime of care and rehabilitation.

Then there's the monetary cost. The average gunshot wound costs $1,000,000 in direct medical treatment. That will bankrupt many of the injured. Gunshot wounds cost the nation $two hundred billion each and every year. That's $53,000,000 in medical costs caused by one man with a $700 gun.

STOP JUST COUNTING THE DEAD.

The hundred thousand people wounded by guns every year deserve a voice too.
