I feel idealistically driven. I agree with every point presented by you and I applaud your ability to see the silver lining of an ever darkening cloud. This quest for equality, in all areas of inequality, sex, race, gender identity has gotten more involved instead of lessening in its intensity and problematic hate. Trumps popularity attests to this fact of widespread hate of others not white and male/female.

Martin Luther King Jr., Malcolm X, Stokely Carmichael, Angela Davis, George Jackson et al. all fought and many are still fighting for the same equality demanded by all people in which inequality is still a daily occurence. The murder of POC by those sworn to serve and protect being foremost in my mind. As an arbitrary starting point I will use Michael Brown. Yes his murder was widely covered in our mass media. Yet his murderer is free today and richer by thousands of dollars given to him by an adoring public. Sandra Bland died under very mysterious circumstances in a jail cell where all preventive measures against suicide are supposed to be taken. No one was prosecuted for this death of a POC with a career in front of her and all of her life. All murder victims who were killed by racists in between say Michael Brown, both known and unknown, and Sandra Bland number in the hundreds. Those are numbers I grew up with in my coming of age period in the 50's and 60's. I will say no more on that, the facts speaks volumes.

Voting rights? Sure many POC have the right and duty to exercise that right. Yet, this country, especially with the electronic voting apparatus used in many places
today is subject to corruption on a massive scale especially in urban areas. The not so urban areas are taking voting rights away from THOUSANDS, many are poor, uneducated and POC. This through local 'laws' and regulations that have replaced the 'tests' that needed to be passed before voting in my younger days. No, I feel we are going back to the good old days and this upcoming election, I think, will prove my point.

You are correct on interacial dating and marriage, as long as it takes place in an urban setting away from places that still maintain a racially undiverse and segregated population of which there are still many, many nationwide.

Everytime I see a biracial child my joy is present in the sense that their presence belies the hate and supremacists ideology. These biracial human beings are a hope and a testament to progress. Yet a hope still in transition from hopelessness of my childhood. I was born of biracial parents in 1948, growing up in this country was hell, even in the military of which type of family I grew up in.

Sports? That's all money. The sea change there has been profit driven and nothing else. When the owners finally let go of their stupidity and admitted a POC could be just as effective a leader as anyone else. They started making real money. They can never kill that 'golden goose' because their profits would dry up. No real world solution there. Sea change? All money driven.

Military? When the PTB realized how stupid they were in not using their human assets to their fullest, even unto death, yes their was a huge sea change, Colin Powell a prime example. POC represented huge man/woman power levels of ability to wage war. Any fool would have realized that sooner or later.

A lot of people have changed their attitudes about diversity, true. Trump crowds and his possible ascension to POTUS as a proudly claimed racist and fascist lets me know, we still have a hell of a long way to go in achieving, if ever, total equality for ALL americans.

Your hope is my hope, I must say though, I fear when you reach my age you will still be hoping for your dream of equality for all americans to become reality.

I do thank you for sharing your observations on our human condtion currently.
