12. I had to do something akin to this to my mom

for forwarding me some tripe forwarded by one of her church friends about denying illegal immigrants something... I shot back at them "oh, ok.. so now it's the xtian thing to do to go against what Jesus commanded (not asked kindly, but commanded) you do, and that was to clothe the naked, feed the hungry, house the homeless, visit the imprisoned. So they come after the illegal immigrants... who's next? Oh, by the way, did you know that there is a movement underway now to strip older black Americans of their right to vote? So Madear ambles her way down to the voting booth and because she was born at home 80 years ago and not in a hospital, she has not birth certificate and she can't vote. Victory!!!!! Should I jump up and down over that and let out a big "hallelu--serves them right. They don't deserve the right to vote. That's what they get!"?

Let's see you all get all exercised over that piece of news. Oh, and use your time online to do a google search on that little thing and on an outfit called ALEC, because they're writing the legistlation to do exactly that across the country instead of forwarding this devil-worshipping bs."
