Showing Original Post only (View all)I just learned where the CIA got the term "enhanced interrogation." [View all]
It's translated from a German term in the Gestapo handbook that means the same. I wonder how much of the Gestapo handbook has ended up in our policies, especially military policies? It seems the committees in the new Congress have many new heads from those shadowy organizations like Blackwater (see Octafish's recent 'know your BFEE' post) from the Bush/Cheney Administration. It was bad enough when they started using the word homeland which was too close to the original German.
Can we ever root them out of our nation or are we too far gone especially when stupid people in red states keep electing them? How do we stop them from completely taking over?
