Someone driving faster than you at those speeds will not want to slow down, so they may move right to pass just as you start to move right.
Now, if you're going faster than most of the other traffic and constantly passing them, staying left most of the time may be better than constantly changing lane changes to pass. It all depends on how much traffic there is and relative speeds.
But the best and safest guideline to follow is KEEP RIGHT EXCEPT TO PASS. There's no need to be in the left lane if you're not approaching other vehicles to pass, and if another vehicle passes you on the right then 90% of the time you're doing something wrong.
