But Howard Dean is an awesome suggestion.
Barbara Boxer can go from not knowing a thing about an issue, but then once informed, goes from zero to 60 mph in a flash. She knew little about the Pesticide Issue until Anti-Pesticide activists got a hold of her, and then she became a major thorn in that Industry's side.
And she became totally informed about what is happening with the voting situation. She was the only Senator we have had in the last twenty years of bogus elections to take on a challenge and side with the Black Caucus from the House of Representatives. (2004-2005.) She refused to allow the certifying of George W's "re-election" without a fight, and if we had had just a few more senators like her, maybe we wouldn't have had those four extra years. And then too, maybe we would have had the Senate and the House educated about the gerrymandering plague the Republicans inflicted on the nation, as well as the fact that these days, the news media calls the election, with only 56% of the vote in!! (As was done for many politicians with an R after their name running in the South, just last Tuesday.)
Would Boxer have thad to educate herself about the duties of State? Sure, yes, she would have - but since Obama's number two spot at State was filled by an experienced neo-con and Bush war-monger (forget the lady's name) then Boxer could have had that woman's input, while also consulting with many others who know far more than either the Bush people or the Obama people about how to bring peace to the world, and create a sustainable mutually enhancing position on the world's stage. If we could have avoided the situation of offering up free of charge tens of billions of dollars of weaponry to Middle East nations, circa mid 2010 to 2011, who then gave those weapons to rebels now known as ISIS/ISIL, I think we would all be better off!
