16. Sad, really

An unfortunate mixing of the personal and the public that is more sad than informative. Of course she trusts her husband. To admit to herself the deeply heinous truth, and her moral complicity, would destroy her psyche. Its called "splitting". She knows what's happened, she always did. She simply compartmentalized it, and mailed the door shut. Predators count on this behavior, they actively create it in a compliant spouse. She may be saying horrible things, she may even be a functioanl enabler, but she is also a victim. Trust me, years of programming brought her to those words. I'd rather we leave her to her dark closets than parade this travesty on the news.
