What's worse is that her line of thinking pits one group of cancer patients against another. She doesn't say why she was willing to discriminate against one group of cancer patients (those using the Pill form) over another (those who take intravenous treatment):

Czaja and other members of the Assembly early Friday passed an amended version of a Senate bill that aims to make cancer treatment more affordable by requiring insurance companies to cover chemotherapy pills in the same way they do intravenous treatments

“I’m not a big mandate person,” said Czaja, who spent the bulk of her career in the insurance industry. “After a long conversation with my doctor, I started to think about the issue in a new way. It’s not just the affordability factor; it’s about helping people get back to normal and get back to work.”
I guess it's the work factor. Can't have those freeloading cancer patients out there not working.

I'm sorry but her come to Jesus moment is too little too late for me. How many people suffered the inconvenience while she was making up her mind which way the wind blew?

Isn't that they way it always is with republicans? warrior1 Mar 2014 #1
