when all of recent history shows when in power they are vastly willing to spend much more than dems on really stupid stuff. We gave them their stupid stuff at the expense of the stuff they wanted. Never be mistaken that Republicans REALLY want to spend less. Look at their budgets when they have the White House. They clearly don't want to spend less. You are simply WRONG. Sorry.
