First, it was Republicans who introduced the idea that Members must move from the regular Federal Health Care cafeteria plan and be limited to plans under the new exchange.

Members and staff receive between 72 and 75% insurance premium subsidy from their employer (The US Government).

As others have previously pointed out, dear Marcus must be automatically covered regardless of current health if she elects to purchase insurance under the exchange. Why? Because the ACA prohibits limitations for pre-existing conditions.

But here is the most important fact Bachmann either ignores, or is too stupid to know:

From Timothy Jost at Health Affairs Blog...

"Second, the final rule modifies the proposed rule by providing that members and their staff will return to the regular Federal Employee Health Benefits Program upon retirement."

DUH. So as soon as she "retires" next year (thank God, but not soon enough), she goes right back into the federal cafeteria plan pool and has that luxury for the rest of her life.

I assume she has brown eyes.
