albeit not personally.

First, there are the Obamas - members of the 1%.
Then also, there are the Clintons.
Also, of course, the Romneys, the McCains.

If you watch any sports, you see many of them. Just watching the news and heard about Santana turning down an offer of $14.1 million. He wants $100 million for five years. http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article/mlb/ervin-santana-turns-down-royals-qualifying-offer-of-141-million-for-2014-season?ymd=20131111&content_id=63849272&vkey=news_mlb

Quite a bit of money for a guy with 9 wins and 10 losses, but I guess that those who do not study history are doomed to be multi-millionaires.

Then there are the TV and movie people. You know, Brad Pitt and Angelina made $45 million last year. And Will Smith made $31 million. Rachel Maddow makes $5 million a year.

But is everyone you know hurting? My school superintendent makes $175,000 a year. The city manager makes $120,000. The head of the water department makes $110,000. Are those people hurting? Is my doctor suffering with his doctor's income? What about my dentist? Getting screwed, or living pretty well? I will ask him when he gets back from his vacation in Hawaii.
