(32,056 posts)for those people. When I ran the marathon there in 2000 my husband had to also control himself when they bristled if everyone didn't go exactly where they wanted them to (my husband, as he has in many of my races, tried to move from various mile markers to others to get there before me w/snacks/drinks - but this was not acceptable to the Disney Nazis who wanted everyone in single file marching in whichever direction they declared). He did much cursing as well.
We've taken the kids several times as well & enjoy the attractions. My tip is to go the smaller parks if you can - the boat rides in the country areas of Epcot are particularly nice and Mexico has great margaritas. The Magic Kingdom is always so crowded so I save that for the last day so I can actually relax for the rest of the vacation first. Animal Kingdom is probably the one folks know the least, but if you look at the map there is a carnival area with a bunch of rides that your 6-yr old will love, along with characters to meet etc ...
If you have any questions shoot me a PM - my kids are 10 and 6 so I may be able to help you locate what you need ...
