11. The 'you' in my sentence was for the parent

"Would you wake up your grandmother in the middle of the night to tell her the moment your baby was born?"

Because in a normal family, its the new parents who are there (obviously in the mother's case...), and who decide who to start calling. The queen was already a great grandmother - Peter Phillips (son of Princess Anne) has 2 children, Savannah (born 2010), and Isla (born 2012).

I'm sure they didn't wake Charles up, because it's the middle of the day. He might had said "do wake me whatever time it is" - who knows. He is a grandfather for the first time. And there's Kate's parents too - their first, as far as I can tell.
