(5,162 posts)Yes, I know the republicans did much of it, but we stood by in glassy-eyed wonder as we gave our lives to a new drony//insurance company healthcare/we do not have to explain America. We are now just as guilty as we accept and say it's better if a Democrat does it; you know, the things we would be screaming like banshees over if Bush did it.
Really, what is OUR excuse? We stood by as millions of people are out of work, and the banks are doing fabulously, thank you. We are sold in whole to HC company insurance companies for future horrors and a "who would of thought that would happen" situation that will rear its ugly head to come. What will we say when SS and MC is put on table? How do we explain our side when a dreary future of never ending debt and diminished opportunities is realized?
We are just as guilty and even more. When the cycle of business presented an opportunity to change, to have a brushfire to clear the dead wood, we just propped it up and burned the good fields. Now we have a situation where business can never fail, are stronger than ever in getting what they want, and people are the victims.
So no, we do not get a pass.
