1. Like they do with epidemics, Put a ring around it. Choke it so there is no host to attatch it to.

change the law
and then enforce the new law.

NO guns on street

collectors can collect (you don't collect guns in the street) and put it and leave it in their house
go to a shooting range and they give you a gun and some fake ammo
you can hunt with a bow and arrow

that would take guns out of all places accessed from a street and in the street

It's really quite simple, with proper security.

When it can't breathe, it dies.
