22. Back in the 80s, I was going to a Planned Parenthood in San Antonio

to collect birth control pills. I had my four-year-old daughter with me and there were about six protesters humming and saying rosaries on the sidewalk. Suddenly, some skinny jerk ran in front of me yelling, "Mommy, don't kill me!" I was shocked and picked up my daughter. He kept yelling as we kept walking then he looked at my little girl and said, "Tell her not to kill your baby brother or sister!" He stopped following me as I reached the PP steps, but kept yelling, "Don't kill me, Mommy!" I should have decked him. He touched my elbow, but the only witnesses would have been his creepy posse. I had been ambivalent about abortion before, but I became radicalized after that. The fact that my little girl was traumatized by these people was inexcusable.
