13. Yes, I've read a couple of years ago that Krugman had said he wouldn't work for the government.

Nevertheless, if enough of us were able to persuade him to change his mind, you can be sure
that he would have extracted from Obama ahead of time the promise that he'd have a
certain degree of freedom from harassment, and do his job in the way he saw fit.

He'd be doing Obama a favor, and not the other way around.

I realize that wishful thinking plays a role in the statements made above.
