Considered being a one term governor, like his former idol, the Myth....however, it's a long gamble because if he loses his bid for president, he doesn't have an office or position to fall back into. That was one of the reasons why he was hesitant about consideration as Mitt's VP. He would have had to step down as governor and been a man without an office with a loss.

I still don't think his national numbers are high enough for him to feel confident about that move. He is obviously banking on his Hurricane Sandy response to raise his profile but I think it will wind being akin to GUiliani and 9/11, one feel good moment does NOT erase a so so record.
