Aaron Rodgers praises Putin in interview with Tucker Carlson [View all]
While it is easy to dismiss folks who have fallen for Russian propaganda spread through social media who are then given a microphone to parrot Russian talking points like the second coming of MTG, perhaps we are missing the fact that the Russians have been able create with the support of many Republicans a self--reinforcing media ecosystem where Russia writes the talking points, then spreads them through internet troll farms and sock puppets who then like any Republican or public figure who repeats said talking points, the public figures find that the more they repeat the talking points, the more likes they get, and then the Russian patsies get an even bigger boost when they repeat the talking points to each other.
It is difficult to believe that less than a decade ago, Republicans were supposedly the pro-defense party that wanted to stand against Russian expansion. Now, members of the right seem to be competing with respect to who can be the biggest Putin cheerleader.
