Probably thought he some gonzo guy. However, his livestream is on Fox 7's YouTube channel.

It's hard to see an actual arrest because if he is arrested at 2:35:40, (according to those on YouTube comment) he kept filming for quiet awhile afterward. Around 2:45 his camera is put away, but continues filming inside his backpack.

From what I can google it wasn't an "encampment" but a protest. UT stated the protest wasn't sanctioned.

I don't think they require permission for simple protests. There are frequent protests on campus.
