The Today Show even interviewed the families of my students after the course case. (not mine, I never sued, but in Bostick vs. Clayton County (the LGBTQ work rights case) the Southern Poverty Law Center used my experience as their example of how badly things can go for an LGBTQ worker in an amicus brief. I wrote some tweets about it and they went viral. 43 million impression on twitter in two days. Everyone heard how awful they had been and they got so much public response, they issued an apology!

I try not to be bitter about it. But they were pretty shameless so to pretend it did no damage does me no service. So, it hurt, but amazing ways advocate came from it.
