2. Why not write into the law that every perosn here on an H1 visa gets paid double the median wage

for that profession. I mean since it is important enough to bring someone from out of the country, obviously the position is worth double pay, right? Remember there are no Americans qualified to do this job. This is the only person who can do this job. That is what the visa application says.
