I had a friend who used to come into town for the weekend, and we would go shopping and see a movie or two. He's long gone now, and it's never had the same appeal since then. I live two blocks from a major shopping center, and less than a mile from a major shopping district up May Avenue, so the traffic is horrid to try to get almost anywhere. Plus the fact that now it seems to be literally taking your life into your hands to go out, so I just stay at home. I've been off all week, cleaning house and trying to get over a lousy cold, so I'm content to just be here with the dog, enjoying my time off. I'm already dreading going back to work on Monday....
