(2,073 posts)Because Playboy is/was specifically about sex and selling sex. Its understood that the women who got involved with Playboy "knew what they were doing". Its not like going to casting call for a part in an action movie and some creep like Weinstein wants you on your knees. Its not essentially being kidnapped like R. Kelly was doing.
I watched the series and unfortunately, its difficult in some instances to discern who is telling the complete truth. I'm sure some of the stories are completely true; some are probably exaggerated and others are likely fiction. I found it interesting that Kendra Wilkinson did not agree to participate.
Everyone knew that once Heffner died, people would come out of the woodwork to tell stories they never would have told as long as he was alive(to stay in the good graces of Playboy). What I find interesting, is that long before he died, a former Playmate "spilled the beans" about an arrangement between Hef and wealthy individuals in Dubai and UAE for models to go essentially be "sex slaves" for a prescribed period of time(30-90 days). The model who told the story(I think it was on Howard Stern) said she declined, but could name several models who took the money(but wouldn't out of privacy). I thought for sure this would be in the series, but it wasn't.
