Target is Closed today but will open at 9:00 pm. tonight! What? [View all]

I suppose this is convenient for that portion of the population that has something great to do on this holiday, that major retail outlets are closed all day today in observance of Thanksgiving.

But it's bullshit, IMO.

I suppose it's a nice thing to do for the millions who have a big family holiday plan.

It's not so much the fact that they are closed, however, that bothers me so much as the fact that they have so completely engineered the shopping frenzy known as "Black Friday" to have impacted the actual day of Thanksgiving itself.
