(17,757 posts)The first on the list being that Democrats and progressives in general have become inconsequential. We would have to accept a single party system of government going forward. We would have to accept that the law and justice were two separate concepts, and that law enforcement is based on a sliding scale based on the wealth and power of the individual. We would have to accept that as a group, we were in danger for our heresy for denying the new President of the proper reverence; past and present. We would have to accept an acceleration of the transfer of wealth from the workers to the wealthy. We would have to learn to accept policies like, Night and Fog, punishment without trial and forced relocations. We would have to accept concentration camps and mass executions, persecution of women and minorities, death sentences for those who's sexual preference did not fit the new standards. We would have to accept a new national policy of forced religions; those religions that the government approved.
Trump, and his far-right friends, have told us what their goals are and we damn well better believe them.
