28. But, it was the hurricane's fault. It killed the Mittmentum!

Nov 2012

Yet, like Barney Frank was saying the other night on Rachel's program, so how did the hurricane affect voters' decisions out in the Mid-West??
Or out in Montana in the West, where Senator Tester was re-elected?
Or even in Wisconsin, where Tammy Baldwin was elected?

Did the hurricane suddenly remind them that Romney wanted to eliminate all of the safety nets and FEMA, even after he spent the last 16 months making that the hallmark of his campaign?

Or was it the issue of climate change that suddenly made everyone wake up to reality, and realize that Romney wasn't going to do a damned thing about it?

Or was it the economy that made everyone realize that Romney never developed an economic plan to help the economy grow, and yet he said at one point in time, the numbers work, without ever showing anyone the numbers of his invisible plan?

Or was it the stupendous foreign policy blunders when everyone realized that a guy who won't release his federal income tax returns can't really be trusted to run this country?

There are so many other reasons to explain why Romney lost that it's hard to settle for the "hurricane did it" meme.

But, the 47% of American voters that he doesn't need to worry about?
Well, to be blunt, it's actually 100% of American voters that he doesn't need to worry about.

Cuz now, he's irrelevant.

He can't even campaign in 2016 for the next Republican candidate because Romney's endorsement would be the kiss of death for the next GOP candidate.
