It is hard, Betty White's death hit us all hard. She gave decades of life and laughter to everyone of us. Please don't feel that her passing makes 2021 worse, think of the incredible woman. She needed to say goodbye, it was her time to go.
If you have watched a loved one decline for years and know that they are finally ready to leave you hug them and say your goodbyes. My sister and I have have been caring for my mom 24/7 for the past four years. Thankfully she has her wits about her talks, laughs, reads, is political and loves to eat good home cooked meals. Mom is 95 1/2. Since Christmas we have had some really hard days, she is very short of breath. It is her heart, it is just giving out on her. Two days ago I thought she would not see the new year. When it is time, she will die here at home. She has surprised us before, yet I think she is saying goodbye.
Betty White knew her time to say goodbye and she was surrounded by loved ones in the end.
