but that they were trying to point out that many people won't understand what that graph means - they are likely to interpret it backwards, as meaning that 30% of vaccinated people will be hospitalized, which isn't the case at all. Here's a really good analysis, using data available as of August (but before the delta variant became more widespread): https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2021/08/10/us/covid-breakthrough-infections-vaccines.html

Here's another, more recent analysis from my state, Minnesota, which keeps very good, current data: https://www.health.state.mn.us/diseases/coronavirus/stats/vbt.html Here, as of mid-September, only .076% of fully vaccinated people were hospitalized, and only .010% of vaccinated people died (about 300 out of over three million).

Yes, and that's because so many people in the total population were vaccinated. Ocelot II Oct 2021 #20
You are saying YES, you can NOT simply subtract 67% (unvaccinated) from 100% to get vaccinated Laura PourMeADrink Oct 2021 #21
All the graph tells you is that 67% of the hospitalized people Ocelot II Oct 2021 #23
