If it weren't so terrifying I find the science fascinating. It just makes a lot of sense to me that a lab using cutting-edge research on thousands of coronaviruses, and right at the epicenter of the outbreak, could have had an accident. US labs have had leaks before too. Heck, SARS-V1 escaped twice in one year from labs after they had contained it.
My interest is more around what science can learn from this. China's labs are the cutting edge when it comes to research on coronaviruses. If they would work with scientists from around the world I think we could learn a lot about how to prevent this and how to fight it.
