(28,979 posts)Frisco, Texas is a wealthy suburb of Dallas known for its quality schools and low taxes -- but now it's gaining a reputation as a breeding ground for right-wing extremism.
The Washington Post reports that a total of 19 local Frisco residents have been charged so far for their roles in the January 6th riots at the United States Capitol building, and the FBI's Dallas field office says that most of the rioters arrested came from the "mainstream of society" and have included "three real estate agents, a retired Air Force lieutenant colonel, an oilman and an actor who once appeared on the popular television show 'Friday Night Lights.'"
Even though the median household income in Frisco is $97,000, well above the national average, local realtor Hava Johnston says that many Frisco residents have been radicalized as the suburb has become more racially diverse.
