is that somehow scammers know one has a paypal account and they're constantly sending emails about some purchase (which I never made). Then I have to take the time to check and find out it's some sort of scam. l just quit using it because I was tired of this sort of thing.

Ditto, I know most purchases will be delivered in 2 days with Prime, ebay sellers mostly use USPS!
