7. Excellent news! Took us about 5 months to...

...be informed of our 3-month trial period. We will have a permanent modified mortgage starting January 1st. It's going to save us about $700 per month to include the modified mortgage amount which will include homeowners insurance and property taxes escrowed which we had paid separately before. We are overjoyed that we will be able to stay in the house for which we've been paying since 1996.

My sympathies to you and your mom for the passing of your Dad, and tell her congrats for getting the loan modification.
