Years ago, my family (kids were then 5 & 7) was having dinner in our beautiful Ithaca home. My (now ex) husband was in a PhD program at Cornell; I was a grant writer for a small, rural hospital situated 2 miles from Watkins Glen. You get the picture. We were discussing how was school stuff, etc. My daughter, the 5-year-old, chimed in with all seriousness, Mom, I miss the good old days. This was one of those times when your child comes out with something so funny, you have to hold a newspaper in front of your face so they dont see how hard youre laughing. I always wondered what the heck a five-year-old considered the good old days!

Happy Passover Doc, think of you and your family only for at least this week. Forget the negative.

To your point: people who say the good old days were obviously fine because they didn't die...
